June Holidays Part 5 of many

Towards the end of the 3rd week and into the last week of the June holidays, we went to Pangkor Laut . The only thing we did there was to swim in the sea. The waters there were very clear, but there were no fishes. A pack of monkeys climbed on to our balcony where our swimming clothes were hanging to dry. Luckily, none of the monkeys stole any of our swimming clothes. I also played a bit of tennis there. Now that I am back at home, I am trying to finish my work. XD

The End (of me, cause I have alot of work)

June Holidays

On the first and 3rd week of the June holidays, I attended a math olympiad camp and a RI science camp, and did my homework. That was pretty much it.

June Holidays Part 4 of many

On the second last day, when we were going out for dinner at night, a kangaroo jumped onto the car, obviously shocked by the headlights. I had the fright of my life. I learnt that in Australia when you hit a kangaroo(or in this case the kangaroo hit us), and it is badly injured, you do any one of the following:
a. Kill the kangaroo by hitting it on the head.
b. Put a bunch of papers inbetween two sticks where the kangaroo is, so the ranger knows where it is and can kill it.
However, we could not find the kangaroo, so we concluded that it must have hopped away. That dumb kangaroo caused a huge dent mark on the car, so now we have to pay..., yep, 3k Australian$. After all that, we should have killed the kangaroo, peeled off the skin and sold the skin and meat, and used the bones to make tools and boomerangs or used them to make soup.

June Holidays Part 3 of many

On the fifth day, I went up to the Porongrups(pronounced: prong-grups), near Mount Barker. The drive there was interesting. There were alot of wildflowers, birds, and trees. It was very enjoyable.

June Holidays Part 2 of many

On the third day, I went to play golf. The golf course there is very different from Singapore's. No construction sites. Good for most players. Anyway, over there, they have wildflowers, exotic birds, and it is next to the sea! The weather there was great. The people there were great. They don't care about the speed of the game, which (I feel) is good. They even let you stop for lunch in the middle of the game!
( 3rd Day)

On the fourth day, I went to play golf ( again ). After nine holes, I stopped for lunch. Ooops, I probably shouldn't have done that. After lunch, there was a competetion going through on the back nine, so I had to wait for 1hr 30 min before I could continue playing. How absolutely annoying.

June Holidays Part 1 of many

This is an update for the second week of the holidays. On Sunday, I took the plane to Perth, excited and at the same time praying we would not get quarantined when we got back. We arrived at about 3:00 p.m. , got our rental car from Hertz. The Hertz staff asked my father whether he wanted to buy complete insurance to take away the excess (3k Australian$) if there was an accident. The price was too high, so my father said no. We got into the Camry, I installed the GPS and we drove to Seashells Mandurah. When we were getting there, the GPS went wonky, 'cause there were road works, so we got to Seashells only 20 minutes before the reception closed.( 1st day )

The next day, we went on a cruise in a private boat, organised by BMW. It was really cool. We cruised from Perth to Roddnest island, seeing all sorts of marine life along the way. We stopped at Roddnest island, had lunch, and went to see the seals. There was a whole pack of them! Before long, the 6hr cruise ended, and we returned to Mandurah. ( 2nd Day )

My Favourite Place

My favourite place is at home, as there is everything I need is there. I can use the computer, play XBox, do basically whatever I want.
